   I got so used to metric from working at a national research laboratory that I’m more comfortable with it at home. I freaked out my landlord when I told him that the temperature in my apartment was only fifteen degrees.

   In western poetry, meter is measured in feet.

   About 99% of the world’s countries use the metric system. Of course, we’re America! We’re right! Everyone else is wrong!

    Should have thought of that when I was in a building that was stingy with heat!
    I’ve worked in labs all my life, and find the metric system a lot easier to use than our archaic system.

    This cartoon is why I keep coming back to Kliban. I hope he does one for us on the Second Amendment’s “right to bear arms…”
