B. Kliban’s vast body of playful, surreal irreverent free-form work is well overdue for re-discovery. An innovator who significantly expanded the realm of cartooning, Kliban inspired a generation with his no-limits approach. His numerous books – Never Eat Anything Bigger Than Your Head, Whack Your Porcupine, Two Guys Fooling Around With the Moon among them – spread the Kliban vision far and wide, and put the term “Klibanesque” in the dictionary. His constructions – whether single-panel drawings (“Mental floss.”), multi-panel sequences (“Four Useless Motions”) or eight-panel image-poems (“Sheer Pottery”) – push fearlessly forward into unexplored territory. Welcome to his unique and compelling world.

Someone really did ask me, years ago, to put just one “lock” on his bagel.
Unfortunately, he didn’t mean to make a joke.

You would have to feint to avoid the fents.

SusanS, There’s no defents for those puns.
As for the bagel, The right padlock might do it.

Yes—as the question goes, why is bra singular, and underpants plural?
bmonk said, 5 months ago
In his defent, he seems to have a poor command of Inglese.
But I don’t know about his defents.

In my wasted youth I worked in shipping and receiving for a garment manufacturer, and I asked that question. Pants are made of 4 main parts. Each “leg” has a front pant and a rear pant, which makes, obviously, “pants”. Match that up with the other leg and you have a pair of pants.
Now, if they’re Dockers, would they be a paradox?

@packratjohn
Would that mean that I’m wearing two pairs of pants then? I’m so confused!
