I bet they ate it fast so the others couldn’t get any!.I had a starving cat, Gingy, ( He was only hungry for the second 3 months of his life when he lived with my neighbor) who loved turkey so much, he thought he’d get first dibs by jumping on the open oven door when I opened it to take out our Thanksgiving gobbler..He said it was my fault when it burned his poor tootsies! And he wouldn’t let me catch him to treat him..He got even with us, tho!.The last piece of turkey, a big, warm, moist slab of turkey breast laying there, unguarded, on my husbands’ plate, while my hubby went back into the kitchen to top off his glass with more ice..Gingy would have put it all in his mouth if he could. He was half in the plate, munching out on it when Mike came back around the corner, so Gingy grabbed it and tried to run for it. Too big. .Aw, the look on his face was, “I’m gonna get killed, so I’m taking my last meal with me!”.After he’d chewed on it, then put it on the floor, we really would not have eaten it. And he was so pitiful, all his life really, we just let him have it..I forgot what I had to make us instead.
