I was half expecting to see within the grist mill something labelled, “Yell ‘fire’ in crowded theatre.”

The thing to remember about “fire in a crowded theater” is that it’s taken from a Supreme Court decision upholding a conviction for pamphleteering against the military draft.

The right to kill your baby in the womb must never be infringed, but to hell with your right to say whatever you want.

Interesting, since I once skipped military conscription myself; thanks.
I hereby correct my label to state:
Falsely yell ‘fire’ in a crowded theatre”.

Nobody ever had the right to say whatever they wanted. Throughout this country’s history, people have been imprisoned for saying things that were unacceptable to the community of the time. Why, when I lived down south, I once got in trouble for even mentioning the word, “Union.” And no, I am not making that up. When another local began saying in public that a union should be formed, he got death threats.

Do you remember when the Republicans were publicly stating it was wrong to criticize the President when troops were in harms way? Do you recall some of them going so far to say it was treason?

You can say anything you want, but you also have to accept the consequences of your statements.

Yes, particularly if anything is said or done that offends any thin-skinned, ignorant, jobless muslims.

Dear Aptly Named: If you do not believe in abortion, don’t have one.

Whenever you post stupid things, I will defend your right to say them, but I then have the right to consider you a jerk.
