    And according to American General Boykin, what god REALLY wants is for good American Christians to kill all infidel Muslims.

    Same god, same message, different cultures.

    it seems you have great difficulty determining the difference between What God wants and what the church wants. all churches are man made. even the holy books of all religions were written by man, not the hand of god. it was a counsel in Nisea that determined which books would be in the new testament and which would be discarded. man not God.

    The Muslims been at this for 1400 years.Why doesn’t the left remember them saying that for 1400 years.I guess they are just ignoring them till they start selling sex slaves and killing everyone they can catch.Yet again.
    There are things called history books.But effort is required to find and read them.

    Actually, only about 1700. It wasn’t until Constantine converted that they had the state backing them. Then they could legally murder dissenters…

    And Denis doesn’t remember that Mohammed said that Jews and Christians shared prophets in common with Islam, so they did not have to be threatened with death to convert. It was the pagans (still numerous, despite Christian efforts) who were told to convert or die. Of course, the Muslims provided economic incentives to convert Jews and Christians. “You want to keep your religion? We have a tax for that!” An enlightened and profitable approach to the problem. It’s only the very stupid like ISIS that want to kill off a source of income…

    Taking the Democratic mantra of never seeing a tax they didn’t like to the extreme…

    Actually, the Christians (as every Christian should know) expect 10% for the Church. In Britain (until recently) all those with any income had to pay the tithe, which went to the Anglican parish in which they lived.

    Islam demands 2.5% for Muslims and 5% for infidels, so even the infidels supported the initial Muslim ‘conquests’ (not all that conquesty, it was more that almost everyone wanted lower taxes and welcomed Muslim rulers over the greedy, thieving rulers they had before the conquest).

    History also teaches that, after the conquest, some Muslim rulers demanded reversion or death (Muslims believe everyone is born a Muslim, but some are led astray, so it’s called REversion rather than CONversion).

    Also, some Muslims believe that human rights are sacred, while others believe only Muslim rights are sacred, and infidels may be robbed and/or killed in the name of Islam (the IS is in the latter group, plus they only consider their sect to be TRVE Islam, so everyone in every other sect of Islam is an infidel to be robbed and/or killed).

    The Jews and Christians have just been saying, and doing, the same thing, for at least 700 years longer than Islam. (Just read the book of Joshua.)

    Humans have been at it since they first crawled out of the sea. I know…it’s fashionable in the intellectual circles to blame religon for all of man’s stupidity. But here’s the problem: if you did get rid of religon, what would you blame all the world’s failings on?

    And you, the great knower of all things, are going to tell us what god (which one?) wants, without recourse to any of the “holy” books or the writings of (any) church??

    @denis1112

    If you actually read anti-religious books, instead of just spewing out your persecution complex in public, you’d know that we spend plenty of words against the evil that is islam as well as the evil that is christianity (and other religions as well, but those two tend to be the most violent). Two of the best-known new atheist books, The End of Faith by Sam Harris, and God is Not Great by Christopher Hitchens are good places to start.
