No one is losing health insurance. Yes, many insurance companies are cancelling their policies, as they always have. The difference is that this time — unlike with the GOP non-plan — if a company cancels your policy, you can buy a new, better, cheaper health insurance and they can’t turn you down. The majority of Americans in every poll do NOT want the ACA repealed.

Too bad that isn’t how it’s working in Republican-controlled states. Coincidence?

CONTRACTING: the plague Reagan began spreading in earnest to the government outside the military, is the only real culprit in the “startup”. Another “No bid” contract to a company poorly rated, a U.S subsidiary btw of a CANADIAN company. It’s also interstng that since Reagan, Canadian companies have taken over mining on public land in the U.S., which was prohibited prior to Ron.

AS to the bill, which is too long, the actual provision of services WILL be a great improvement over the current “system”. Even if we ever DO get “single payer” btw, just as is going on now, the private insurance companies will be leaping to get into the game, and deeper.

If we are talking about the price of mangoes in Sumatra, we are not interested in your babbling on about the temperature of spit in Wichita.

The ACA failure is the subject here, NOT Ronald Reagan. Obamacare is all Obama’s fault. Period.

Hmm, a history I saw working in action over the decades, as contracting became the costliest process the government ever bought into, through several administrations, Reagan’s people just kicked it free of any real constraints.

Sorry if I interrupted the “hate Obama” theme, and pointed out that the great rignt-wing “Ron God” had feet of clay. (and we’re still paying for that! and no, NOT just to satisfy “Republican” greed, both sides are guilty of ignoring the facts, for corporate profits)

Not to interrupt your Kool-Aid-ed bliss, but my company like many others are canceling health benefits for employees. The ACA has made it too expensive for them. I did check out what I would pay under the ACA and my premium went up a little bit and the deductible went up massively. I’m sure those dropped to 29 hours or less are thrilled either.
