Comparing the GOP to cockroaches is terrible.
    How dare you slander cockroaches.

Catalino wakes up, looks around and discovers the collapse of government can’t be blamed on the President. What next? A finger point at the actual perpetrators? Should I hold my breath?

I don’t see how the dog and pony show put on by the park service is much of a problem much less a nuclear melt down.9% of federal dmv types are off and receiving unemployment and will receive back pay. With all the Park Rangers keeping folks out of the national parks maybe its not even 9%.But the dems still need to convince the easily duped that they can’t get along without a few government union types doing not much of anything.

Your comment is far better than Mr Kent’s. He couldn’t even recognise the arthropods.

with the national parks shut down, many people (normal people, Deerflattener) are finding that they CAN’T take care of
themselves because the shutdown shut their businesses down also…your statement is rather shallow and self-serving

I think you should take care Stipple! You are in for a far bigger headache than you know. You won’t even be noticed by those you wish to impact, and there are far better ways to show your displeasure, without hurting yourself.

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than average. This bias is attributed to a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their mistakes.

Actually the strip would have been appropriate for 90% of what the Democrats and Republicans get their hands on.
Give up your party loyalty, people. That is what is destroying the country.

FURNITUREMAKER said “with the national parks shut down…”

Can you explain why, when the gov’t shut down during Clinton, the national parks remained open? Who’s being shallow and self serving here?

So Obama not willing to compromise or being open to debate is the Republicans fault?
Oh wait, I forgot he is a deity and should be worshiped and considered infallible…

From the posts of deerflatener, denis, and Churchill, I infer that all three of them think the government shutdown is a good thing.
Feel free to correct my impression (as if you wouldn’t).
Since the government shutdown is such a good thing, it seems like the Republicans/TSE Party ought to be out taking credit for it.
