Testimony has put the knowledge of the IRS involvement in political activity up to the Chief of Staff.

The government is so large that it is impossible to know everything that is going on. That is why appointing responsible people to agency heads is important. Unfortunately, politics can block appointments until the opposition gets someone they like making the accountability to the President less meaningful.

    -
The above QE “scandal” will eventually be added to the list of Horrors done during the Obama term…..the “independent” Federal Reserve actions to print funny money to the tune of $85 Billion per month, to inject into the “USA economy” but which parked more than $1 Trillion dollars into foreign banks.
    -
IMO, the Feds Funny Money Bubble, due to burst soon.
    -
O’s legacy…..scandal after scandal….bureaucracy following Obama’s leading by speech after speech….with no Obama fingerprints but much IMO culpability…..setting the tone, setting the attitude (cursing Tea Party, Fox News, religions of Christians and Jews…but not Islam which is #1 Protected)…
    -
(someone make Sen. Carl Levin stop attacking Apple Inc. and explain why the Senate has not tried to stop the Fed’s
$85 Billion “play money” to pump hot air into the balloon of the stock market! And show the above article to Levin, but he is apparently immune to facts he doesn’t like, in attacking one of America’s most successful job producer and very big taxpayer, Apple.)

I’m sure that, to all those members of Congress who search out anything that could be a scandal to distract from the scandal of not legislating or otherwise doing their jobs in Washington, the fact that the IRS is supposed to scrutinize “not-for-profit” applications whose avowed purpose is politics (which is not allowed as a purpose for a NPO) this all seems to make some sort of sense.

What’s interesting is investigating Issa’s own background. “Mr. Holier than thou” is a bit of a joke. I’m more bothered by the fact Oliver North openly admitted to the Senate panel to treason, then was pardoned, became a millionaire, with his “security company” and a right-wing media icon. Not bad for a guy who caught a piece of shrapnel in the buttocks while hiding behind a tank as his biggest “war experience”.

For the ignorant or uninformed Right Wing Nuts, The IRS is an independent branch of the govt and not a part of any administration, similar to the Postal Service. Both are directed by Congress. WHAT NOW?

That is what Jay Carney would like to say.

Bureaucracy is the 4th Branch of Government. They give the appearance of taking orders from Executive and Legislative and Judiciary. But, they have their own mindset as to how they do things day-to-day and implement policy. They are making America sorry for across-the-board budget cuts.
