No worries. Guns are cheap and plentiful. And you don’t have to prove sanity, intent, or anything. You’re an American; that’s all we have to know. And maybe not even that.

Virginia permits guns to be purchased from private sellers at gun shows right outside of Washington, DC. Gun shops have to run background checks, but not private sellers. The number of “straw buyers” is a problem for both Chicago and DC. A twenty minute drive from either city puts you at stores where the gun purchasing rules are relaxed. A shop outside of Chicago was featured because of the large number of straw purchases that took place there.
There are ways to make acquiring and possessing guns more difficult for criminals, but the criminals in elected office care more about donations than keeping guns out of the hands of criminals, terrorists, and the mentally ill.

Another well-thought-out post, well-written and easy to follow. I’m afraid it’s a waste of time to try to respond to Mr./Ms. Ima. The information you provide has been provided many times over many days spanning many cartoons. If Mr./Ms. Ima was paying any attention, he/she would have heard us at least by the third time. I predict that six months from now, Mr./Ms. Ima and/or Howgozit will be still asking that same question in this same forum.

On the other hand, it’s kind of nice to know that there are some things in this world we can definitely count on, so there is some value to the existence of Mr./Ms. Ima on this site.

Straw buyers ,that is worth 10 years in federal prison. Why doesn’t Eric Holder, a supplier of guns to the Mexican drug cartels(Fast and Furious),prosecute all the criminals that get caught with guns?
There are already federal laws about everything the libtards are claiming is not illegal. Background checks, straw purchses, loonies having or buying guns, felons in possesion of a firearm, dope heads in possesion of a firearm, domestic violence offenders, children having access to firearms. The list is long. What we need is enforcement of exsiting law.
The dimtards could careless if the doper gang thugs are killing each other.Thats why that 95% of deaths by assault with a firearm hardly make the news.According to the CDC 6 times as many people die from drug and alcohol over dose then are murdered with a gun.Yet the dimtards don’t want to stop the flow of dope of all kinds from Mexico,or the production of alcoholic beverages.
Like Stalin,61 million of his own citizens dead,Hitler, millions across Europe, and Mao,120 million starved to death they have another motive for disarming the public.Getting rid of the opposition. They just won’t admit it to the useful idiots.

The irony is how you are among the “useful idiots”. The Fast and Furious agents were helpless to stop the transactions because of our gun laws, and NRA-sponsored legislation has seen to it thatexisting gun laws are not enforced.

some of the gun dealers called in and said they had a person they felt should not be able to buy and were told “it’s OK go ahead and sell to them”

Your Honor, my client purchased those $100,000 worth of guns for his own use. He later changed his mind and sold them to a friend.

The fact that he is homeless is immaterial. The money was obtained through a personal loan. From a friend.

You were doing reasonably well until you started to call people names again. Such words as “libtards” only make your more reasonable arguments seem unreasonable. You could use such terminology as “ultra liberals” as I use such terminology as “ultra conservatives” and still be both truthful and reasonable. It would truly be great if you could at least start to make such a trend among our more conservative members here!!

Mr./Ms. Ima is a troll (In the ugliest sense of the word!); nothing more, nothing less. On those rare occasions when I do post an answer to one of his/her/it’s excretions, I’m doing so for the benefit of a potential reader so that they’ll have some actual facts to look into rather than having to depend on one-sided, brainless, FauxNoise-style blather.

Do a Google image search for “Spider-Man.” The image of Spider-Man Catalino cut and pasted for this cartoon should be one of the first results. How lazy can you get?

“Truth” may make me uncomfortable. BLATANT LIES (especially those told when the facts are readily available — which, in the Age of The Internet, is pretty much all the time now) make me angry.
