    So, the President is releasing criminals back into the population, furloughing border patrol agents, shutting down a child’s chance to visit and tour the white house, and generally cutting in places that will make the largest impact on the “essential” public service needs.

    Meanwhile, he still has a couple of wine tasting events scheduled in California, approves a 50 million dollar outlay for TSA uniforms and is planning yet another vacation to the “vineyard” in the summer.

    And for YEARS there has been a list of places to cut waste WITHOUT affecting essential services. Check it out.

    Nice post Bruce.

    You do realize the article linked will not be popular with the libs here, points out the $6 trillion increase in the deficit since O took office a little over 4 years ago.

    To bad few to none of the recommendations will be implemented or programs cut. To many sacred cows to feed.

    Ms. Ima: I double clicked on your photo and it takes (anyone who wants to look) back through all your comments. I suggest that you watch more than one channel (Fox) and maybe read about the USA History and then look at your bank account, then look where you live, then make comments about “Budgets”. Because Bush/Cheney took us on the biggest ride with out a budget ever. They did not put the “War against Weapons of Mass Destruction” on the BOOKS. So when President Obama, (Please address POTUS in his full title, even you, describe yourself a Ms.) we immediately were in debt. Because people like you who do not “READ” anything from any real source are still able to communicate, we get to have these irrelevant comments. Go back to bed.

    Yes, there IS a lot of waste in government, but the ’toon does demonstrate both the effects of a “sequester across the board”, AND demonstrates the NRA “so what” attitude toward gun control of "mass casualty (collateral damage) weapons in the hands of civilians.

    Seems to me – my opinion that is – that the ‘toon is showing the two idiot party leaders squaring off shooting at each other over a pittance in budget cuts but managing to do a bunch of collateral damage. The artist was not even trying to address gun control but using the scene as a metaphor for all the people getting hurt BUT the ones doing the cutting.

    But that’s just me, I could be wrong.

    Again, trout, it’s sad that you can not read and reflect on opinions coming from those you disagree with. It’s is rare that a man can go through life with a perfect record in decision making, choosing the correct path at every turn. You may even learn something useful and certainly will see things that may give you ammunition.

    As far as i can see the only “news” outlet not in lockstep with the others IS Fox. So if you want to hear the same thing over and over…..
