Packed with humor and heart, JumpStart is a modern comic strip with a classic feel. At the core of the JumpStart family is Joe Cobb, a big-city cop, and his wife, Marcy, a nurse in a bustling Philadelphia hospital. Their jobs are easy compared to the challenge of raising four kids. At the end of the day, Joe and Marcy want what we all want: a good night's sleep. Their oldest, Sunny, is an avid reader who can answer your questions before you have time to do a Google search. Her brother, Jojo (aka Joseph Cobb, Jr.), has aspirations of being president. In fact, he already is president — of his second-grade class. Joe and Marcy's newest surprise additions are the twins, Tommi and Teddy. This talkative pair began conversing in the womb and are still going strong. Imagine what they'll say when they actually learn to speak! Rounding out the cast is Crunchy, a grouchy but warm-hearted police officer who is Joe's partner, and a host of extended family members and friends. You'll enjoy the wit and wisdom of this colorful, unpredictable cast, which includes the antics of in-laws, co-workers, a 6-year-old doctor, and a texting dog named Snoog-A-Boo.

Doesn’t the signature on the front say ‘To Frank’? It’s Frank’s, Joe would be a greedy jerk to keep it, no matter what his father said about the stuff in the basement. Personal items like that which very clearly belong to Frank would be an exception.
On the other hand, doesn’t a personalized autograph like that drastically diminish the value?

not if the signature is Frank Kirby!!!! That signature alone could double the price!

even if this is a comic strip I have to say it won’t be that much because it’s made out to him if it just had Jack’s name only then it would be at least $55,000 if in mint

Depends……if the person is still alive, it may diminish the value, but if the person is dead, it can be worth a lot.

And it can sometimes be hard to prove the autograph is authentic. I have a book signed by Bob Hope, I know it is authentic because I saw him sign it. But I can’t prove it to anyone else.

Wolvie #1 is worth $60 retail/Mint. Mine, being read a few times and dragged halfway around the world isn’t.

Morally, Joe is wrong and should return it to his dad but I think legally if his dad gave it to him as a gift then it’s his to do with what he wants. If I gift someone “everything in my basement” then they have a legal right to anything they find down there.
But to keep the peace within the family, Joe should just give it back to his old dad.

I don’t think Joe would be that petty, but the people in this strip often act petty for comic effect.

If this were last month, I’d think that Joe would put the book into a protective sleeve/ or box and re-gift it to his dad for Fathers’ Day. But now, there’s no ‘cute’ way to give it back.
(The comic is worth more to dad than $)
