About Jim Borgman
A student of politics and a sharp observer of everyday life, Borgman comments on topics ranging from economic policy and war in Iraq to teenage ennui and suburban sprawl. His cartoons convey opinions that are honestly felt and carefully considered, not inflated with hyperbole meant to shout down the opposition and muddy his message. Most of all, he practices his markmanship with such apparent artistic ease and humor that his aim is never off, never deflected by clumsy delivery or vague imagery.

Whose idea was it to allow comments on the comics/editorial pages? We want to see what the artists have to say, not some other dingaling. Who makes these decisions? It sucks!

Stewie, you’re obviously too busy spewing bile to be paying attention. There are a lot of policy proposals out there, but from a political point of view, “I’m not that guy” is a pretty good campaign move when “that guy” is the least popular President in the history of opinion polling. You talk about “BDS” as though it’s something unusual, when actually, it’s “Bush Adoration Syndrome” that seems wildly out of step with the majority. It’s not like the days when the right wing was clamoring about everything they could make up about Bill Clinton when his approval ratings were in the 50s. But then, we know that reality has a distinct liberal bias.

Herb: Don’t bother. Stew will have another retort to disqualify anything you write. Stew will never accept anything that opposes his unique vision of the universe. If GWB assures that the world is flat, Stew will be the first smashing earth globes to accomodate the reality to his delusions.
