You put money on the charge card, you pay the bill. This is NOT a big deal unless, with gazillions ‘in the bank,’ you pretend you’re in a zero sum game and NOT going to pay legally acquired debt for whatever weird, RepubliCon reason.

What’s another trillion or two when the Democrats have already bankrupted the country. No, wait, we can just print more. And while we’re at it, why not squeeze some more taxes out of the workers to pay for the indolent.

Fun, as long as it is someone else’s money.

Everybody is someone else to somebody.

The Republicans like to blame all the spending on the Dems. Somehow they forget about all the money they sponsor and the fact they voted for everything we spend.

Raising the debt ceiling is vital to maintaining the economic security of the United States and the world at large. American debt is the securest investment a person can make, so it is used as the backbone of investment portfolios. So don’t get pissed off when Congress does the right thing and keeps the world’s economy from imploding. Get pissed off that they aren’t doing enough to reduce the debt enough that it never reaches the ceiling again.

Several hundred Republicans voted for the budget, but only 28 voted to pay for that budget. And yet people here think that they are more responsible than the Democrats? If they actually cared even a little bit about the budget deficit, then taxes would be on the table as a bargaining chip. But deficits don’t really concern them at all, except as a rhetorical weapon. If Romney had won, deficits would matter as little as they did under Reagan and Bush, because that requires hard choices, and Republicans don’t make hard choices.

You know that argument is still 100% true when you turn it around.

Left – “Lets increase taxes (revenue) and increase spending (expense)”
… end result: still have a deficit.
    .
Right – "Lets decrease taxes (revenue) and decrease spending (expense)”
… end result: still have a deficit.
    .
The ONLY realistic way to get rid of a deficit would be to increase revenue AND decrease expenditures. Both sides are half right… or half wrong, depending on how you want to look at it.

Why do I get a cinematic vision of the French peasantry dancing in blood-soaked streets during the Reign of Terror looking at this? Same gleeful abandon?? YECH, in either case.

“The Democrats have already bankrupt the country”?

Where do you keep your head? Facts are Ronald Reagan exploded the debt 188.6%. Daddy Bush rose it 28% and Baby Bush 89%.

On the other hand, Bill Clinton produced $62.9 SURPLUS.

A GOP Congress forced Clinton to run a lean government and use the peace dividend to pay down debt, hence a budget surplus.

Right, republicans only do good and Democrats only do bad. Any good under Democrats is due to republicans.
Like bush killed bin Laden, according to John Bolton.
Too bad you can never hear yourselves.
