That Politician tag should say Democrat. Less government spending is their kryptonite.

    SHUTDOWN

    SEQUESTER

Both begin with an ‘S’, so I guess they must be the same thing. The first three comments can’t see any difference, and neither can I (like those commenters, I don’t have the attention span to read past the first letter).

    And then the subway stops.
    Then everyone will wake up.
The reason for sequestration is real and MUST be addressed. There is waste and abuse rampant- even written into legislation by special interests – but a surgeon doesn’t cut out an infection with a chain saw.
I want cuts and I want the job creators to be…“encouraged”…to create the jobs we were told they’ve been waiting to create. A list of needs could be presented to the ‘job creators’ and then they can be given the option of giving a special portion of their ‘tax’ to needs of their communities, state, or nation.
Something needs to be done, and the disparity between the rich and the poor is widening. The value of money must not exceed the value of the things for which money is exchanged…food, water, electricity, emergency services, defense, roads, etc etc.
There is nothing wrong with being rich, but there is no honor in hoarding great wealth when neighbors live in poverty.
    Respectfully,
    C.

Our PM is on a camp out at the Novotel Rooty Hill ( no… let’s not go there, it really is a suburb). Mission to meet the people (the voters she desperately needs). No luck as she is as popular as a pork chop at a Jewish wedding. Anyway OZ is witnessing the longest election campaign in living history. Not that our PM will admit that the campaigning has started. All we want is an election now.

“Not that our PM will admit that the campaigning has started.”

If you like campaigns, come on up here. Some have started already, although wall to wall media coverage of the campaigns won’t start until two years before the election.

Never in America would a politician take public transportation. Only in a European country where no one can afford gasoline or vehicles.

Every subway in the country could shut down and not effect me in any way. The closest subway is probably 250 miles away from me.
