Let’s see. Bush, Jr introduced ‘No Child Left Behind’ which forced huge numbers of standardised assessments on US schools. Then Obama introduced ‘Race to the Top’ with even more standardised assessments. So I guess it’s now the Democrats’ turn to stand up and proclaim themselves in favour of more and more standardised assessments in our schools.

Let’s see… Ted Kennedy wrote the ‘no child left behind’ bill and Bush signed it.
Who’s to blame for the context of the bill?

Obama lowered quite a few taxes, including the very effective payroll tax holiday, which pulled us out of recession. Now he needs to raise some, because America has a serious revenue problem and needs to stimulate the economy since the private sector won’t do it in a recession. We need roads, railroads, and bridges, we need science and education, and we’re falling behind the rest of the world due to backwards, European style austerity policies pushed by the center right. The Republicans cannot perform simple governing tasks, and somehow the Democrats have the tax problem?

The original idea was,
“Hello. My name is Republican Party, and I am a no-income addict. I need help because I have pledged to never raise income, regardless of need or inflation, and it’s more important to me to trash our country’s future than to violate my pledge.”
But it wouldn’t fit into the cartoon balloon.
Equally silly, but slightly more representative.

Well, of course this means we have to spend even more money. That is the solution! In my public school some of the teachers used to wear rags in hopes of personally illustrating this. The bag boys in the local grocery store wore white shirts and neck ties, but they wore rags.

@Mr. King
I’m the proof, also. Those jerk public school teachers were obsessed with sports.

Now that people are becoming more aware of what is in Obama care, this will happen more and more.

@Ron “For the love of God, we do NOT have a revenue problem! We have a spending problem!!”
- We indeed have a huge revenue problem, taxes are at the lowest rates since the 1950s.
- Anyway, spending creates jobs and stimulates the economy. It’s rather bizarre that spending would be called a problem.
