Your friends on the right are trying very hard to do just that, and have been working on it for some time!

Capitalism and communism are opposite sides of the same worthless coin. They both destroy everything they touch.
Socialism is the way to go.

A true horror story. Cry havoc, and let slip the dogs of ‘ism. Our National Parks belong to the people, same as all other public lands. They are already ’privatized’.
I Don’t give a hoot what type of system the political dictionary uses for it, this land was made for you and me. No citizen can ever own or profit more than another from public property without betraying the American ideal.
Modern kids don’t scare so easily- try to steal their Parks and they ain’t never gonna forgive or forget it.

I don’t think the government makes those decisions. The 1% make those decisions and their lobbyists inform the government.

The lobbyists don’t inform the government, they control the government….

Trump said he would let business decide what to do with the parks. I hope the voters recognize that Trump is the worst possible choice.

A scene from a back yard after the national parks become private dumping grounds. Remember when we could eat the fish that came out of a river and get so deep in the woods you couldn’t see a highway?

What good is a national forest, when one uses the dollar as the sole measure of worth for anything- up to, including, and especially human lives?

The multiple use public lands have long been damaged and given away on the less than cheap. If the 1872 Mining Act had been done away with by 1916 when the National Park Service was formed, the income from mineral LEASING, just on hard rock minerals would mean NO national debt today! That doesn’t count what would be profited from oil, gas, and coal leasing on the public lands. The railroad grants led to Santa Fe/ Burlington being an energy company, not a rail (which they don’t maintain per the laws) company. And yes, about all those mergers to take advantage of all that mineral estate they got along with the surface acres they sold off long ago.

There’s lots more, but corporate, and Congress folks don’t want the public do understand the benefit potential of those public lands, so long abused, and in need of long delayed maintenance and restoration.
