Jane's World is best described as a smart ensemble comedy, blending the classic comic strip style of Lynn Johnston with the racier writing style of shows like Sex and the City and Friends. Jane is the lesbian heir to the hard-luck Charlie Brown, somehow always winding up as the punch line in her own comic.

My GF has the same problem with her cat. It becomes my problem when kitty keeps her from reaching the phone when I call.

I can relate to today’s strip.

So, is the girl from the past going to be staying? What is going on between Jane and Audrey? I feel like we kind of left mid-story here.
I will say, I always like your artwork, Paige, color or b/w, however, I thought the effect you had with perspective today was outstanding! I am am impressed how the remote seems to come like I could just reach over and pick it up. Which I just may do, since Jane isn’t using it.

I’ve got 7 dogs & 2 cats and no matter where they are, if I need to get something & they’re in the way I tell them to move & they obey (except the cats, they’ll only move when they see my feet coming right at them. They know I don’t play favorites).

C’mon, Jane! Think outside the box! The remote may be out of reach, but the coffee table isn’t. Grab it and pull it along to where you can reach the remote. QED!

Remote remote.

This strip is becoming more of a “conventional” strip — less way-out stuff, no time travel, it’s not even gay at the moment. I like the way the strip has been, but I like this too.

Thanks for the kind words about the art today, Dave!

BTW, all this week’s comics were based on true events… even the exploding cabinet!

“even the exploding cabinet!”
The same “joke” turned up in the film PLAY IT AGAIN, SAM, with Woody Allen.
I thought it was “Happiness is a warm GUN”?
