Jane's World is best described as a smart ensemble comedy, blending the classic comic strip style of Lynn Johnston with the racier writing style of shows like Sex and the City and Friends. Jane is the lesbian heir to the hard-luck Charlie Brown, somehow always winding up as the punch line in her own comic.

Not everyone would be high all the time. And it depends on the dosage. Smaller dosages you can feel mellow and still work.

“A place where we all chip in to help the less fortunate.” I grew up in the most restrictive, conservative househld imaginable, yet in the late 60’s, amidst the amusement usually involved in observing “hippies” and members of the “love generation”, I found there was a lot of very good idea being espoused, ideas I found in common with the ideals depicted in Gene Roddenberry’s STAR TREK and in certain other philosophies.
I’ve often thought the biggest tragedy of my generation was that by the mid-70’s, so much of that went by the wayside, and by the early 80’s, many who claimed to believe in such things did a violent “180” and became totally selfish greed-mongers of the most destructive kind. The country has been suffering more and more over the last 32 straight years as a result of this. I often have wondered if we would ever manage to turn things around for the better.
