So? He could have been using gloves to paint, clean his toilet, etc.

I was looking at the 2 umbrellas and 3 trench coats. The money was in the coat.

Uhm, no. I was working in a hospital and my wife is a RN. Talcum IS NOT used in hospitals. To use talcum with surgical gloves would risk the chance of the gloves ripping and talcum contaminating the Surgical site.
Also, gloves in medical facilities ARE NOT made out of latex rubber, since there are many people with a latex allergy or sensitivity (like my wife), and thus medical gloves are made out of latex free nylon. And they don’t stick. Believe me, I was wearing those gloves for hours on my hands.

Errata: Not nylon.. nitrile. I knew it was one of those n’s. But yeah, nitrile rubber gloves do not stick. Also they are more widely available than latex rubber gloves (which stick), to prevent sensitivity issues.

He’s a doctor. He was using the talcum powder to sooth babies after changing them.

Are those the same gloves the inspector uses for his famous “searches”?

Without looking at the answer, I guessed that He hid the
money in the lettuce in the refrigerator so that He would
have cold cash! Lettuce is a slang for cash! HA-HA-HA!!

Robert Danielzik, I work in a hospital lab, and we use BOTH latex and nitrile gloves. The nitrile ones are best for working with chemicals. Latex are better for working with potentially infectious materials. (We also have a box or two of vinyl gloves for some reason, but nobody ever uses them because they’re horrid)

    And Mr comic strip author,
he wouldn’t use talcum for taking the gloves off anyway. He would have used it for putting them ON.
