So the fact that there’s no evidence against him proves he did it.

Is this bank open on Sunday morning?

yeah. this comic never provides much real evidence, and now it appears that it isn’t going to provide any.

This thing is a total waste of space.

The only evidence is compelling though. The loot was found in #3’s basement….

Otherwise— feeling the hood of the car to tell whether it’s warm or cold would prove nothing until you prove why it’s warm or cold. All three answers given were plausible. Further, it was a short distance to the bank— the motor might not generate enough heat to be worth the bother in only a few blocks.

What if the bank was next door to the store or Church?

I think this is okay, Everyone complains when it’s too easy — left handed/right handed, etc, but they also complain when it requires a deduction. Although you could just as easily say that #3 is ruled out because his motor was cold, and #2 is ruled out because his top of moustache would show despite the mask, so it’s # 1 by elimination.

Our job isn’t to deduce who’s the criminal in Inspector Danger’s odd little world; our job is to deduce what riddle the cartoonist is trying to tell us. You shouldn’t think “It could be anyone since a true professional crook might drive elsewhere, steal a car, then return it and drive their own car back to their house.” but rather “Assuming the cartoonist didn’t think of that, who do these clues point to.” We don’t outthink the cartoon character, but rather the cartoonist.

Since they all live so close to the bank,I was thinking that Barolli #3 probably walked to the bank. Less chance of being readily identified by car and no proof of car usage. And no troublesome car theft issues.

I think it’s #2. Churches don’t let people with mustaches in. He’s hiding something.

I figured #3, since he allegedly just arose, yet is clean shaven.

I figured 2 since he said he came from Church & that’s usually a Sunday function

Or saturday night deal. But then again if he went to Weekday services and the bank is next door to the bank he could still be guilty. :):( best clue ever

This strip is from Denmark, where it has been around for more than ten years. I wonder why they publish some of the bad ones when there are so many good ones. There are, promise.
