    Or cooking instructions.
    Apparently, some people complained when cooking instructions were removed from cans … even if the instructions read, ‘Heat in water.’

    Depending on what is in the can I may need cooking instructions. I don’t care what folks may say about canned vegetables, I’m willing to use them and the only instructions I need for those are what go with the dish I’m preparing, not some instructions on a can. For example a can of sauerkraut the instructions are simple for me but may be varied. Open can, drain, place on rye bread spread with Russian or Thousand Island Dressing, add corned beef or pastrami and cheese. Maybe put it in a frying pan with a little butter to grill a little. Or open can, dump into frying pan or skillet along with potatoes, pork chops/brats/kielbasa, and maybe some apple.



    o, the can’s with instructions I need are for things like spaghetti and meatballs, ravioli, and most soups. Those I’m not going to put into a pot and just “bring to a boil” (though I sometimes do with canned clam chowder). Those I’m going to throw in a microwave safe dish and cook them for what the instructions say. And different brands don’t always have the same times to them
