Incidental Comics are familiar scenes from life - unfortunately, the camera is shaky and loud music drowns out the dialogue. Grant Snider's observations on art and creativity, complaints about growing up, and moments of self-examination are lightened by the occasional appearance of mythical creatures and imaginary places. It's a fascinating world to explore a couple times a week.

it’s not the destination, but the journey itself

After the less-than-well-received Doctor Who movie came out, a number of novels were written about the further adventures of the Eighth Doctor. In one of the books it was revealed that the Doctor had, tucked away in his TARDIS, a room labeled “Butterfly Room”. Upon entering, one found oneself in an outdoor setting, in a field surrounded by thousands of butterflies. I thought it was the most wonderful idea I’d ever heard.
