    But, does it want to go back into the box?

    @Three Steps Over Japan

    Well, it won’t be a surprise if it doesn’t.

    I can’t help wondering how long a kayak made of cardboard is going to last. I suppose that’s part of the fun. I hope we get a strip showing the race.

    There is a lake town nearby that is famous for its yearly cardboard boat races. Great fun; doesn’t last long. They eat a lot afterwards.

    I had to do a little research (“had” to. Ha.) when I drew this next series. Turns out, a lot of those races happen in swimming pools. I’d rather see ‘em in, oh, y’know… the whitewater Olympics courses. You get more creative with the duct tape that way…

    And *that’s" why your leg hair took so long to grow back…

    Of course the kayaks will work. If you use enough duct tape. And you can never have too much duct tape.:-)

    BTW – love how Hubris had no trouble getting volunteers for this task.

    Unfortunately, duct tape folds. Doesn’t matter how much you use, it still folds. That’s why you have the cardboard – to make a rigid frame. That won’t fold until it gets wet…

    We have a dairy that has a yearly milk carton boat race. And, no, they don’t last too long… But it is fun to watch!
