    A Kayak doesn’t take a big canal. What are the rental rates for backhoe or excavator rental?

    It just occurred to me that I’m not entirely certain of the physics of kayaking. Does a kayak have a rudder? If so you would build a frame with two nonsteering front wheels a seat and a steerable tailwheel with rudder pedals. Aircraft Spruce and Specialty should be able to provide the materials.
    If the kayak doesn’t have a steerable rudder, you could just build a steel tube frame, add large casters and a seat.
    The pole would be a steel tube with “feet” welded on either end and a rubber pad under each “foot” for traction.

    Hmmm…the feet should be attached to the pole so they can pivot on both directions allowing the foot to contact the pavement squarely with out worrying about the angle of the pole. Should work as long as you don’t try an eskimo roll.

    @win

    That is what I was thinking. Or use in-line skates, 3 pairs should about do it. Though if you want a little manoeuvreablility… I would think about some type of swivel-type screw. Then he could do corners. ….. at high speed.

    Happy New Year everyone!
