Life's a series of ups and downs, which is good news if you're on a mountain bike.
Hubris! is the story of people who enjoy their weekends more than their jobs. Hard to believe, right? Wandering in and out of The Outdoor Galore Store, the woods, the skatepark, the river and trouble, they'll risk their lives and limbs to entertain you by entertaining themselves.
Grab your helmet and whatever toys that go with it. Spend your free time with Hubris.
Check out Greg Cravens' other strip, The Buckets.

Kara lacks foresight about as badly as Hubris does. The only difference is that Hubris almost never regrets the decisions he makes.

I believe, only 3 DAYS into the month, and we’ve reached a new high on TWC… #38. Can we keep this up? C’mon folks, go to the link at the right, and then click “VOTE FOR HUBRIS”.

Sorry for the delay in posting the new cartoon. My absentmindedness is to blame. This cartoon was originally a ‘Lord Lionel’ cartoon (he was a British explorer and all the stereotypes that go with it) written and drawn for a Joe Kubert School seminar way back in 1987 or 1988 maybe. It was too good not to toss out since then. The simplicity comes from the fact that I had to do several comic strips overnight in the hotel room for critique next day at the seminar… and had spent the entire previous night driving there. No sleep+creativity=three black panels. There you go.

Hmmm . . . a dark cave . . . could be really romantic, except you can’t tell what’s crawling up your leg.

All kinds of things live deep in caves. They have no color and now eyes.

As long as it does something nice, what does it matter?

but the black panels say everything! (and does Hurbis really want to see the things scritter if someone comes back with a light?)
