Life's a series of ups and downs, which is good news if you're on a mountain bike.
Hubris! is the story of people who enjoy their weekends more than their jobs. Hard to believe, right? Wandering in and out of The Outdoor Galore Store, the woods, the skatepark, the river and trouble, they'll risk their lives and limbs to entertain you by entertaining themselves.
Grab your helmet and whatever toys that go with it. Spend your free time with Hubris.

Couldn’t have planed it better. Too bad in real life this sort of thing seldom works as well.

Paste and Kara are just playing with Lowell. It’s Hubris that’s really getting into this after Lowell’s behavior on the drive up. Hubris is now in his happy place.

What’s the history or etymology of “Wukilar”?

Etymology here.

I see Hubris as a “let most things slide off his back” kinda guy. He’s enjoying the song, though.

Greg … when was this originally posted? I’d love to see it again on Hubris.net where people should go and vote their tushes off to get Greg down in the 70’s like last month…

like this comic a lot but the text in teh first panels is tough on the eyes even when you blow it up

Hubris.net? That doesn’t seem right.
Maybe you mixed up the Hubris website (where apparently this strip was posted on August 26, 2011) with the TopWebComics site where we can vote for Hubris every day?
BTW, I continue to vote for Hubris daily, but I can’t help but wonder: Does this really drive any traffic to the Hubris website or benefit Greg in any other way? I say it because Hubris really seems to be in some weird company there, with all the furries, manga, etc., so I wonder if the regular audience there would care about a strip like Hubris.

Yeah, the voting helps. I’ve gotten ten hits from TopWebComics today so far 36 total yesterday, and that’s much better than when Hubris was down around #1000, when I’d get one or two hits a day- or none from before that. And often, the readership from TWC are the sort like you guys that stick around and read dozens of cartoons, and come back again. So, thanks very much, everyone who votes! It may seem like a long chain from voting, to eyes on the strip, to click throughs on ads, to ad revenue, and new readers that drive up ad prices, but it’s all interdependent.

Yeah, sorry about the typeface- I’ve tried two or three different ways of doing it, and none are wonderfully legible. Chalk it up to me and bad panel planning. It looked fine in the sketch, though. Ah, well…

“We don’t like him?” It may be true but isn’t it normal to lie in the name of politeness when it comes to things like this?

Not if Dude’s unconscious.

Right. Dude’s unconscious, he’s on his own at a campout. As in, first one to pass out at a party. Not good. Not good at all.
