   A wedding, graduation, special occasion, sure tape it. But SO MANY of the videos on those shows are just people who were doing boring routine stuff when something silly happens. Why were they taping it anyway?

    I ruin shows like that. At the beginning of each clip, I ask why anyone was taping. If it’s a clip of a guy putting a nail in the side of an old barn, then the answer is “Because they’ve set up something they think is funny.” Then the barn wall falls down and the guy stands where the open window lands. Yippee dippy. I prefer the ones where the young men are taping themselves doing massively stupid things with the hope of becoming ‘viral’ on youtube, and then wind up being unable to father children. Best outcome ever.

    I’m glad I don’t know anyone with a video camera. When I do something stupid I don’t like leaving evidence.

    When I got hit by a car last March, I really wished that someone DID have a camera. Would have made the subsequent investigation a lot easier for the police.
