    Many, many years ago I worked for a bi-monthly satirical newspaper whose banner read: Free and Worth Every Penny of It !

    They don’t consider themselves “our politicians”. They consider their ideology first, not their oath of office.

    They have vastly different visions of the purpose of government yet try to force all to go along with slim, temporary majorities rather than build large consensus. Our Constitution was set up to shut down in such situations. That is a good thing.
