    With the price of admission, everyone else is just waiting for the DVD…. it would end up being cheaper…..

    Must be the opening day, matinee. :P We went to see Jurassic Park at a small theatre on opening day. Took the kids out of school for it (which they loved of course) and had the theatre almost to ourselves. That night the theatre was completely sold out and turned lots of people away. :D

    maybe their watching world war Z.my brother went to see that.he said it was terrible: one of the worst movies he’s ever seen.i would never go see a zombie movie thats rated PG-13.i don’t like horror movies without blood and gore in it.

    i heard about one theater charging 50 bucks to see world war Z.along with seeing the movie you get free popcorn and a poster.i think you also get to watch the movie in 3-D.big deal! charging that much for any movie is insane.

    Her sister must be a reviewer. IMO they’re much better at picking bad pictures than good ones.

    Yeah, and now we too can say to later generations how little we used to have to pay to see a movie…
    ==
    I remember waiting for the 99 cent theater showings…. then that went up to $2… and then they seemed to disappear from here!!!!
    When I was a kid, the 1st showing was only a dollar, and in my parents’ day, it was even less!!!

    I’m at the age and stage where that Senior movie discount comes in handy but it is not the cost of tickets that kill you…it’s the price of a small popcorn and a soda that you need to bring your banker along with you – or your cardiologist !

    40 years ago I went to a first week showing of a French movie, “The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe.” One of the best comedies ever, and there were six of us in the theatre. Recently watched it again, and it is still on a par with Bringing Up Baby and Blazing Saddles and Naked Gun.

    They are watching the re-edited re- released Monty Pythons The Meaning of Life. When it came to the fat guy and his antics. I was the same way. The only one left in the theater. Could not move too busy laughing and gagging.
