Yeah, how do you measure that? Maybe they make you swallow a partially inflated balloon first…

Are you there, Dry? I just saw your post from yesterday and you’re spot on about me making a great Bond! After Cary Grant turned it down, I was the 2nd choice. I refused over moral grounds (I also turned down the role of ‘The Saint’ for the same reason) and suggested Sean Connery instead. I worked with Sean on the film ‘Hell Drivers’ in 1957. When Sean gave up the role, I was approached again, and once more after George Lazenby. The film ‘Ice Station Zebra’ offers a fascinating glimpse into an alternative dimension in which I persue a career of blockbusters. However, I would never have made ‘The Prisoner’! I also turned down ’Kelly’s Heroes’, the Sundance Kid, Dumbledor and Gandalf. Oh well… nobody’s perfect! There’s some very astute people over here, by the way!

Incidentally , ’ James Bond’ was originally going to be a tv series, but Ian Flemming pulled out, so they renamed it…‘Danger Man’. (Secret \agent in the States) That’s where I came in! BCNU
