You’re right, Henry. It’s not consistent to expect people to be treated decently in this country, and then turn around and expect people in Iraq to be protected from genocide.

Many of the middle east problems were caused by our support of corrupt governments. We definitely do not need another trillion dollar war.

Perhaps that’s because there are only two main categories of ways to address strife: diplomacy and war. If there is a third (or fourth) alternative, it doesn’t seem to be presenting itself.

Many politicians and posters (and ordinary citizens) characterize any attempt at democracy to be cowardly, to be a show of weakness, and to be showing a willingness to surrender. They do not offer an alternative, but diplomacy can never, ever work, and makes us look soft and weak. What makes us look strong and powerful, then? Waving our military penis at them, that’s what.

Many people have stated your same sentiment: “Why is it that you lefties never see any solution short of war?”

Many times the question was asked, “What’s the alternative, other than diplomacy?” The answer has always been a silent ignoring of the question.

So, I’ll ask YOU: if you cannot accept diplomacy as a strategy, what alternative to war can you offer?

So you support the genocide of Christians in the Middle East and in Northern Africa. We may not have gone in but that doesn’t mean we should have left.

We left under an agreement with the Iraqi government that wanted us out of their country. An agreement originally signed by the GW Bush administration, and not that of president Obama.

And if president Obama had not followed through on that agreement, then I can well see the ultra conservatives such as yourself castigating him as a war mongering president. It makes absolutely no difference just what president Obama does or does not do, to the the ultra conservatives on this site it would be evil and wrong!!

“taxman” is really clueless – it’s the GOP that is pounding the war drums – take a listen to McCain and Lindsey, to name two.

Once again, Republican/Fox “news” viewers prove that hatred of Obama is the solution to every problem, domestic and world wide.

Like all good Republicans/Fox “news” viewers, he is FOR hatred of Obama. If we all just hate Obama enough, every problem will disappear.

Been there. Done that. Won’t work. George was still there, up until the day Obama was inaugurated.
