A downtown stable next to the downtown garages would be great! Ride your horse to work!! Horse pool with a nice Amish style covered coach!
Sounds like fun.
And free compost!!!

What killed the electric car? High cost to buy, fires, expensive to replace batteries, fires, long recharge times.

Don’t see why you don’t think its funny, Kansas City has used Natural Gas busses for years. So have a lot of other places. Dallas uses Natural Gas fleet vehicles. You see a lot of this can be done without the federal Government.

If you scratch the surface of a metropolitan transit authority, you’ll find Federal government funding. Not that I’m complaining, mind you; local governments often can’t fund worthwhile projects; just pointing out that your anti-Federal rant is misplaced.

C: Your country roots are showing. People today have too much of an artificial sense of urgency built into their lives to do anything that sedate. I’m an avid bike rider and weather permitting try to ride most places locally. Good exercise, no carbon emission and definitely saves on gas!

California has scores of cities with natural gas vehicles, especially buses.

Remember the gas powered PInto? Fire trap indeed, as was the Chevy pickup with the fuel tanks outside the frame rails. A friend had a Cadillac that went through four engines in six months, and as she was about to give it up as a “lemon”, it caught fire and burned to a hulk that had to be taken away in bags.
Volt (it’s a HYBRID, not “electric”) is increasing in sales. I don’t care for the design myself, but like most hybrids, and even yes, electrics, ARE seeing increased sales, and will pull out further ahead in the future.

Good to see that Henry is done with that pesky Connecticut shooting thing. Maybe it’s just too soon to talk about it any more.
