It is amazing that the left who do not trust the police or the military wants only the police and the military to be the only ones with guns.

You still misunderstand, gun control is desired not complete confiscation as you assert. Controls are needed especially on Assault Weapons that have no legitimate purpose beyond hunting down and shooting/killing people. In a large crowd like at the Aurora theater, a knife or bat would have been much harder to use to hurt and kill as many people as that nut-job was able to do.
-And, what a shocker, he was under the care of a psychiatrist!!!!!

And, on top of that, a Well Regulated Militia is to protect Americans from foreign invaders.
Reading suggestion: “The Mouse That Roared.” That book spells out the likelihood of an actual foreign invasion and possible outcomes. You may find it in the Comedy Section at your local library, assuming the library still exists.

Gun control will always lead to complete confiscation. Pass whatever restriction-du-jour you want, there will still be gun crime. Then those who think gun control is the solution will demand new restrictions. This cycle repeats until there is a total gun ban, when the controllers turn to knives and defensive items like mace and body armor. After that we get random searches, pre-criminal screening, and the rest of stock dystopian scenario.

I have seen several pol. cartoons about the news anchor connecting, incorrectly, a connection between the theatre ambusher, and a series in Mallard Filmore about editing of Mitts statements.
Where are the comments against Fox news (and Mitt for that matter) editing comments Pres. Obama made?

@cjr53
The Mouse that Roared was not about gun control, read the short story version and saw Peter Seller’s movie.
So who said he needed a knife or bat, guns cannot be uninvented. Take Haiti and Jamaica both islands have strong gun control. Haiti has one boarder with the Dominican Republic and Jamaica has none both have a lot of gun violence.
Also the history of people having firearms goes way back in this country to before George Washington.
From The Second Amendment by David Barton:
“The Second Amendment (as well as the other Amendments) did not grant or bestow any new right on citizens; rather, it simply recognized and provided, in the words of James Wilson, “a new security” to the already existing, natural, God-given rights of citizens for their own self-defense”.
David Barton. The Second Amendment (Kindle Locations 67-68). Kindle Edition.
Now remember James Wilson was A Supreme Court Judge Appointed by Washington:
“Homicide is enjoined [required] when it is necessary for the defense of one’s person or house. … [I]t is the great natural law of self-preservation which, as we have seen, cannot be repealed or superseded or suspended by any human institution. This law, however, is expressly recognized in the constitution of Pennsylvania: “The right of the citizens to bear arms in the defense of themselves shall not be questioned.”… [E]very man’s house is deemed, by the law, to be his castle; and the law, while it invests him with the power, [places] on him the duty of the commanding officer [of his house]. “Every man’s house is his castle … and if any one be robbed in it, it shall be esteemed his own default and negligence.” 26 (emphasis added)
David Barton. The Second Amendment (Kindle Locations 81-85). Kindle Edition.
:Also the right to bear arms is not for hunting but to defend from government.
Take the words of George Mason the father of the Bill of Rights:
“I consider and fear the natural propensity of rulers to oppress the people. I wish only to prevent them from doing evil…. Divine providence has given to every individual the means of self-defense”.
David Barton. The Second Amendment (Kindle Locations 159-161). Kindle Edition.
Last I did not say anything about an assault weapon but you really can’t stop some one from getting something that is so common. Sorry but your whole argument is moot.

The jest of this cartoon is not gun control, but liberal bias in the media. The libtards at ABC near wet their pants when they found a guy matching the nut who shot all those folks in that theater, and who was a member of the local Tea Party. Libtards are desperate to try to smear the good folks in the Tea Party Movement by implying that they are gun toting kooks, so when they found this name associated with the Tea Party they thought they’d finally found their smoking gun. Fortunately the ABC libtards were proven wrong (Tea Party guy wasn’t the shooter) as well as incompetent for not realizing their error before gushing madly about their exclusive on the air!

ABC, ADMITTED it was only a "google’, and it might be irresponsible, then apologized soon after, but yes, he should be suspended for being so stupid and “current with society”. Remember, Fox was ’first" to say Gaby Giffords had died.

A Republican disappointed judge killed at the same time. Hardly a mention of that fact at the time or since.

So, Jack, the sole “natural law” from your Second Amendment post is “the law of the gun”?? BTW, a friend was shot in the head, and for most of us, that’s where the brain is. He’s done pretty well, fortunately, so calling the end result early, as Fox often does, to suit THEIR political slant, isn’t valid “news”.
