romney’s a bully, pure and simple. He chopped of some guys hair, not to make him feel included, but to make him feel different, bad and excluded. romney likes to fire people, dismantle business to take the remains as profit.

With that history, why would he change as president? romney is a very bad choice to have in a position of power.

Mitt was a teen demonstrating his real propensities, which haven’t changed. The fact that he grew up with P.R. people doesn’t change his proclivities.

I think Henry Payne is trying to ridicule the reaction to this old news, but I think it will backfire.
Orchestrating a team (by virtue of being class/sports leader) to assault a fellow schoolmate is vile and would normally be considered grounds of expulsion
Bullies, especially those that are “anointed” by being privileged, tend not to change their stripes as they get older.
I’m happy to be proven wrong, but I think this fellow has been rich all his life, and seems to consistently indicate that he will get whatever he wants, irrespective of the expense – to other people.
BTW, I am a foreigner, but do love the USA. Hope you guys can fix it.

Thank you for the excellent analysis. I hope you are correct on all points. I also hope we U.S.A. citizens can ‘fix it.’

So I suppose his charitable donations speak nothing about his character.

perhaps we should then consider this:

    http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Journalism/2012/05/10/Obama-High-School-Drugs

Obama, by all accounts, was a habitual drug user in high school. He tried cocaine, he admits in Dreams From My Father; he “tried drugs enthusiastically.” The Chicago Tribune reported back in 2007 that Obama thanked the “Choom Gang” in his high school yearbook; “chooming” was Hawaiian slang for smoking pot. The Honolulu Advertiser reported that Obama’s senior portrait “prominently displayed … A package of ‘Zig-Zag’ rolling papers and a matchbook.”

    http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Journalism/2012/05/10/Does-WaPo-Know-Obama-Shoved-a-Little-Girl

These are all “Obama’s” words. Do you see any character flaws there?

So you know what Romney was thinking while allegedly being in a mob? Is that how libs are psychic? The ‘cutting hair’ analogy is similar to being in the congress, banding together to rob people of their money through higher taxes.

It makes me want to vote for Romney even more. Obama will never get my nod.

PR people? As in public relations? What kind of people do community organizing?

I have never taken illegal drugs and no way condone it. I don’t even find it funny when I see it in entertainment. However, Obama admits it.
    .
I glanced at that link about the girl. It is a snippet and context can’t be fully ascertained unless you have access to the book. Obama is telling us, he is talking in first person. It was and is embarrassing to him hence was a learning experience, you can judge for yourself if he did learn to be better. He certainly did not find it funny. Calling her a “little girl” is a bit disingenuous, she was in his class and hence he was a “little boy”.
    .
Romney’s action is clearly remembered by his cohort: “Four of them — Friedemann, now a dentist; Phillip Maxwell, a lawyer; Thomas Buford, a retired prosecutor; and David Seed, a retired principal — spoke on the record.”
But Romney does not remember. I am deeply concerned that he could dismiss such callousness (something I feel is typical of bullies), while Obama can remember a much lesser embarrassing incident and admit shame.

People who want to help other people. As opposed to those who enjoy firing people.

Difference is that Obama not only addmitted to it, he said he felt terrible immediately after it happened. Mitt romney conveniently forgot, not only the haircutting, but walking a blind teacher into a door, and yelling “atta girl” when one of the more effeminate students got a question right.

Stephen, I don’t like Romney but “major liability for the GOP” is probably going too far. This is a group that booed when Ron Paul brought up the golden rule during the debates. I interpret Henry Payne’s ‘toon to be saying "I voted for a coke-snorting drunken frat boy…twice….and you want me to get upset about Romney’s youth?" The party will go through some work but they will line up behind him. When McCain ran he was initially reviled by portions of the party. But once he was the nominee they were all on board.
