It all started when Phoebe skipped a rock across a pond and accidentally hit a unicorn in the face. Improbably, this led to Phoebe being granted one wish, and using it to make the unicorn, Marigold Heavenly Nostrils, her obligational best friend. But can a vain mythical beast and a nine-year-old daydreamer really forge a connection?

Reminds me of the “closeup” in the WB cartoon Duck Amuck.

I didn’t know Marigold needed reading glasses. Horses lack accomadating lenses, their retina’s are shaped to keep near and far objects in focus simultaneously. They move their heads around to get objects of intrest in to best focus.
Stallion’s will often nibble on a mares legs as part of foreplay. That’s a foreleg, MHN. Could be a hidden message.

No, far-sighted. She needs glasses for near things.

It may not be his “perfect” withers, but it’s something.

: D Reading glasses on Marigold are just… adorable! (Loving LSH, too; hope we see/hear more from him.)

She doesn’t actually need glasses, I’m sure. She just knows they make her even more adorable.

Aw man! I want to see the male unicorn to show his true identity.
The Wolf In Your Midst said, 3 months ago
I know that’s her mane in panel 4, but from the angle it looks like Marigold has a patch of underarm hair- err, I mean, an overgrowth of under-foreleg coat.

Well its some progress, better then nothing. That or he’s one of those guys from youtube who likes to make misleading thumbnails. Know what, keep at it you’ll win him over eventually even if it takes a eon or two.

@Mason Kramer
Yep She’s now officially a glasses unicorn. Also she looks a little more like Dana’s Deviant art.

This is a nice trope, the mysterious person whom we never see at all or just parts of them. But never their faces.

This has to be a guy thing, or Maybe he has a fault near the elbow, or….
.
Reminds me of Li’l One-Fault from Lil Abner. She wore a bag over her head for protection so people wouldn’t keep punching her in the eye.
.
The instant that bag was off her head people realized that her one fault was that she had no faults, and they’d smack her.
