It all started when Phoebe skipped a rock across a pond and accidentally hit a unicorn in the face. Improbably, this led to Phoebe being granted one wish, and using it to make the unicorn, Marigold Heavenly Nostrils, her obligational best friend. But can a vain mythical beast and a nine-year-old daydreamer really forge a connection?

Ambiguous? Caring about someone can make winning against them less than fulfilling.

Get the feeling that Marigold is into late 1970s fashion?

Alanis Morissette, wrote a very popular song in the 90s, called Ironic. It’s a great song, but unfortunately, she misused the word Ironic in the lyrics, repeatedly. Where she described unfortunate “murphy’s Law” sort of events as “ironic.” Because of it’s popularity, the generation that listened to music in the 90s took away an inappropriate definition and used the world inappropriately.
And I say this with all respect. I’m a Huge fan of Alanis, actually. But, she did use the word wrong in her song, now other people do too, and that is the reference.

Hmmm. So irony doesn’t have anything to do with making clothing flat via pressure, heat, moisture, and starch? Or 26 electrons orbiting 30 neutrons and 26 protons? (Sorry, couldn’t resist).

There should be a “b.” in front of “(especially in contemporary…” but the server is apparently interpreting the “b.” as a html marker and making it bold.
