Ha, Drew!! This is so funny. Sorry, but panel two made me LOL. “Give nature a brake!”

I was a passenger (the last time) with someone who thought that there was a cardboard box in the road and wanted to drive over it, what fun, well someone finally talked him out of it and it turned out to be a cinder block. There are idiots out there. I do know that they have made tunnels for the turtles, I wish more places did. Have been in a car in Florida with a gator in the road. Maybe I’ll quite riding in other peoples cars.

I was really shocked when I read that article in our local newspaper. But then again, maybe I shouldn’t have been. There are idiots out there trying to prove they are superior to other forms of life. Guess what? If you are one of those people reading this, and you think it’s funny to run down and kill a turtle on the road to prove yourself superior, all you have done is bring down the condemnation of the general public on your head. You only proved to be a coward. If I met you and you said you did things like that, I’d leave you standing there like the idiot you are.

Although the last panel brought this to a very funny conclusion, the strip has made a very important statement. One of our problems here are squirrels trying to beat cars as they try and cross the road. I always swerve or slow down to keep them safe. I know many others do not. An Insurance company made a funny commercial about this but it doesn’t help the squirrels.

@Terry Cox
I always joke about how our neighborhood is the training ground for the Geico squirrels and yes they do test me and so far I have proven worthy and not hit any although they do give me a run for the money. After all we need to share this place. When I was a kid I was afraid of the car running over a snake and it wrapping around the wheel to get even, I always waited until someone else got out of the car first.
