Putin has exposed the American Emperor as having no clothes…..at least not any Warrior or Defense clothing!
    -
Georgia, Crimea, just preludes to Russia annexing Ukraine and who knows when Putin will stop…..when he fully restores the USSR?

What would RMoney have done differently?"
Know from the start that Russia is a geopolitical threat. Not laughed at the idea and talk about the 80’s calling.
But you libs just get big laughs. It all a joke to you and blame the other guy. But but Mitt could not. Bully, Mitt could have but Obama can not! That simple.

I wonder what is up next for Obama? a really strongly written letter to Russia owned media?
And oh how Putin stung Obama with sanctioning some members of congress.

Don’t worry Democrats. Obama will do nothing but use ever harsher language. Remember ,Japan bombed Pearl Harbor because of sanctions imposed against them by FDR.

Obama is trying to gather international support to have restrictions placed on Putin’s Netflix account.

Perhaps, but what actions would he have taken to more effectively deal with the situation?

In Georgia we were taken by surprise. A VP candidate said that more will come because they are embolden by Obama being a wimp. She was laughed at. Mitt tells us that Russia is the 1# geopolitical threat, Obama laughed.
So maybe the 1st step is not to laugh at those who knew the problem and identified the problem. If we had Putin would not be a problem. Small things like no disarming, drilling here drilling now, being a “cowboy” in the eyes of liberals, being respected on a world stage, not sending a Joke in Kerry to talk, not listening to Hillary’s “Reset” button. Would have been a better step then what we have now.
But what “action” we are already 3 steps behind on the chess board. How about we stop playing Checkers. How about we streaghn our position by telling them we will hit them where it hurts and in 3 years we will be selling Europe cheep energy not you? How about we tell Europe we are not doing a thing, We are not even going to talk with them! Why should we? Putin is your problem. He will be taking bites out of Europe and not Alaska. We can “help” but you have to work with us. Trade with us and not them. Here is some long term things like oil that we will be producing that can help. Missile defense systems. How about you use the UN against Putin? How would that work without us?

So Palin was right in that Russia did invade. Mitt was right in that Russia is the #1 geopolitical foe. That is what I said. Obama was wrong on both accounts! Kerry was wrong, Hillary was wrong, Biden is still playing hop scotch apple sauce,
So your solution is what go with Biden for President in 2016? That would show Putin.
But really Should Russia be in the UN of G number what? Should we let him threaten Nato? What role should we let him play? I say drop Russia from all of them. Let Europe either defend or reject Putin. Make Europe show their cards. Where is Europe on the chess board? Putin is about to flank them. They can either beg Russia or the USA for help or mercy. What shall it be? And that is how you play chess. But Obama is playing checkers by “sanctioning” 11 Russians. One of whom started that mean rule against gays in the Olympics, and now we showed them, oh yes we did. Why they can not come over here and spend money, or even go to Disney World. Obama has stopped 11 Russians from going to Disney and the rest of the world hold it’s breath in what Obama might do next!

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/26/mitt-romney-russia-geopolitical-foe_n_1380801.html
    ..
Romney’s comments came in the context of President Barack Obama’s “hot mic” moment with Russian President Dimitri Medvedev Monday after a meeting in Seoul. Obama was heard telling Medvedev he would have “more flexibility” on missile defense after the presidential election.

“This is without question our number one geopolitical foe, they fight for every cause for the world’s worst actors. The idea that he has more flexibility in mind for Russia is very, very troubling indeed,” Romney said.

Wolf Blitzer asked if he thought Russia was a bigger foe than Iran, China or North Korea.

“I’m saying in terms of a geopolitical opponent, the nation which lines up with the world’s worst actors,” said Romney. “Of course the greatest threat that the world faces is a nuclear Iran and a nuclear North Korea is already troubling enough.”

“But when these terrible actors pursue their course in the world and we go to the United Nations looking for ways to stop them; when [Syrian President Bashir al-] Assad for instance is murdering his own people we go to the United Nations and who is it that always stands up with the world’s worst actors, it’s always Russia, typically with China alongside,” he continued. “And so in terms of a geopolitical foe, a nation that’s on the Security Council … and is of course is a massive nuclear power, Russia is the geopolitical foe.”

That’s a good question. And we should hear them.

The problem, though, is right now we are playing Catch-up. Putin has us rocked back on our heels, on an international level, because we were disregarding him as a problem.

This administration has never stood from a position of strength. Between bowing to sovereign leaders and cutting our military readiness, to ruling out military action and removing our missile defense system in Poland, Obama has eroded our standing in the international community.

We are no longer considered a superpower, not because of our lack of military might, but because of our President’s lack of willingness to use it. I’m not suggesting we go into every country, set up camp, and (as George Carlin put it) “bomb brown people.” I’m saying that we should stop this wishy-washy sanctions this, stern language that, blah blah blah.

We need to return to the days of speaking softly, but carrying a big stick. We need a President (and Congress) that has their sh!t together that is capable of commanding respect from our allies and fear from our enemies. I’m not saying Romney is that guy, but I AM saying that Obama is NOT that guy. And that’s why Russia is walking all over us, and disregarding anything we have to say.

Actions? Just a couple ideas: Re-install missile defense systems in Poland, beef up garrison in Germany, S Korea, and Japan, and move a fleet in the Pacific to be in striking range of Russia. Rattle the saber a bit, if you were. But before any of that can be done, we need the President to grow a pair and be willing to make the tough call, Reagan-style.
