Putin has exposed the American Emperor as having no clothes…..at least not any Warrior or Defense clothing!
    -
Georgia, Crimea, just preludes to Russia annexing Ukraine and who knows when Putin will stop…..when he fully restores the USSR?

Don’t worry Democrats. Obama will do nothing but use ever harsher language. Remember ,Japan bombed Pearl Harbor because of sanctions imposed against them by FDR.

Obama is trying to gather international support to have restrictions placed on Putin’s Netflix account.

“Know from the start that Russia is a geopolitical threat. Not laughed at the idea and talk about the 80’s calling.
But you libs just get big laughs. It all a joke to you and blame the other guy. But but Mitt could not. Bully, Mitt could have but Obama can not! That simple.”

Perhaps, but what actions would he have taken to more effectively deal with the situation?

That’s a good question. And we should hear them.

The problem, though, is right now we are playing Catch-up. Putin has us rocked back on our heels, on an international level, because we were disregarding him as a problem.

This administration has never stood from a position of strength. Between bowing to sovereign leaders and cutting our military readiness, to ruling out military action and removing our missile defense system in Poland, Obama has eroded our standing in the international community.

We are no longer considered a superpower, not because of our lack of military might, but because of our President’s lack of willingness to use it. I’m not suggesting we go into every country, set up camp, and (as George Carlin put it) “bomb brown people.” I’m saying that we should stop this wishy-washy sanctions this, stern language that, blah blah blah.

We need to return to the days of speaking softly, but carrying a big stick. We need a President (and Congress) that has their sh!t together that is capable of commanding respect from our allies and fear from our enemies. I’m not saying Romney is that guy, but I AM saying that Obama is NOT that guy. And that’s why Russia is walking all over us, and disregarding anything we have to say.

Actions? Just a couple ideas: Re-install missile defense systems in Poland, beef up garrison in Germany, S Korea, and Japan, and move a fleet in the Pacific to be in striking range of Russia. Rattle the saber a bit, if you were. But before any of that can be done, we need the President to grow a pair and be willing to make the tough call, Reagan-style.

It’s so nice that the complex geopolitics of Ukraine, Russia and the rest of the world provide orgasmic fodder for right wing quacks, who get to both wet their pants with fantasies of war with Russia AND make fun of Obama for not invading Russia and starting a nuclear war. How fun for them.

Don’t forget we also get to make fun of all the low-information voters like you who were giggling at Romney’s warnings about Russia. fun-fun.

I think Obama has already done everything you’ve suggested.

As far as actual military intervention: I doubt there is any support whatsoever, among the American people to start a war for Crimea. Putin knows any threats Obama makes about military action would be a joke.

“However, I’m just really not seeing anyone say ‘That Putin! Whaddaguy!’.”

Watch Bill O’Reilly. I have seen a couple of videos of him saying pretty much just that. Of course, I saw them on Comedy Central. But video is video, regardless of where it’s broadcast. And before you say it was photo-shopped, keep in mind that the graphics mirrored his words.

“Romney could do some major damage.”

Truer words were never spoken. This is why I voted against him.

Imagine him putting one or more additional justices on the Supreme Court who truly believe that “Corporations are people, my friend.” Imagine the exponential damage that could result.
