There they go again. The kids on food stamps, the seniors, the sick and disabled, the under educated, all of ‘em bossing around our poor and depleted, only-able-to-fight-one-war-at-time military services. Makes a good, red-blooded RepubliCon long for full-time Fascism, doesn’t it?

Those entitlements are the CEO’s and corporations in the M.I.C. bleeding us dry and selling the Pentagon junk they can’t fly, can’t use, and/or don’t want, because the revolving door between generals never underfed, and boardrooms of the never underfed, is wide open. Pay troops? Nah, that’s a waste of potential bonuses at Lockheed, or other providers, like even our intelligence services being contracted to highly efficient folks who hire guys without even GEDs hand giving them access to top secret accounts.

The military is bloated you can’t get around that. Entitlements are at least partly paid by entitles. Congress has set the numbers for $ in and $ out for decades.

Does McCoy mean entitlements like social security which the elderly have paid into all their working lives? Yeah, as some of our more conservative on here would state there are some elderly like myself that might very well have been on social security for long enough to have use up the funding that we paid for. But, then there are those such as my son that paid into the fund for some 25 years, and then was killed in an auto accident (that was not his fault at all), and therefore collected nothing!

That looks about right but instead of a Sergeant it should be the American public using all that for nothing.

This should be printed and mailed to every Congressman/Woman and Senator. I’d say mail it to the WH, but they would call it Hate Mail.

Yes, because the armed forces are just that lean and fit, because they are held to such rigorous budgeting rules, while, meanwhile, them libbruls want to waste money building a well-educated, healthy workforce for the future and keeping their promises to our parents’ generation.

Maybe, if we had fewer veterans. We don’t need a bloated military, we need jobs at home, and not jobs building weapons at outrageous overrun prices. McCoy has it all backwards.

The truth is our country is broke. We have already spent our grandkids inheirtance. We need to cut the military, cut entitlements, cut everything to some degree. And we need to raise taxes.

The abiity of our country to create prosperity has been overcome by greed and need for today’s generations to live beyond the means of our economic engine.

We cannot continue down this path. it is a fool’s path. We will have to pay the price, maybe soon.

It feels wonderful to help the poor and disenfranchised; and we should help them. But to what extent? Would anyone take the last few dollars in the house to give it to the poor when it would jeopardize the ability to feed your own family?

We simply cannot continue to overspend in entitlements, because eventually there will be nothing left for anybody. Does that mean we let people starve to death? Of course not, but it may mean they don’t get an iPhone.

Billions of people around the world would love to trade places with our poor. Our poor in world terms have it pretty good. Do we bankrupt the nation and the prosperity of generations yet unborn to continue this level of lifestyle for those that can’t provide for themselves???

There are also all those smokers who die early too and more than cover the costs of those that get sick from it.
