Yup, his own people didn’t like what he was preaching.

I don’t usually agree with Mr. McCoy, but he’s right, unconditional love, especially for the poor and powerless, is politically unpopular among a large segment of Christians.

It’s the left that is full of hate, envy, jealousy, hypocrisy. They can demean conservatives, people in the American south, rural people, Christians, etc., but if someone like the Duck Dynasty guy says anything against perverts, criminals, and other leftist sickos, he’s supposed to be silenced, because he’s “offended” the left.

He was a JEWISH zealot! Martin Luther was a Christian who saw things differently from the “holy mother church”, spawning a revolution that has now led to over 30,000 Christian “sects” around the world. Many of those sects are more than willing to do to their “brothers in Christ”, exactly what the Jewish establishment did to Jesus to maintain power over the populace.

    Jesus wasn’t a Christian.

    He was a Jewish rabbi.

So if a person thinks a man having anal intercourse with another man is a sin, then he’s a “Hate Monger” and a homophobe?
    So stupid.

Hate? Then that explains why they fight for the poor, indigent, old and the very young while Cons do everything they can to cut them off from any aid to “help” them?

Not stupid at all when laws and the law is used to stop them, rape them, hurt them and incarcerate them when it is “non of their business.” Yes it is hate.

So, someone that points out to a friend or loved one they are doing something wrong, they don’t love them anymore. People point out faults to steer their friends and loved ones to the right path, not because they hate them.
Based on your reasoning, any difference of opinion is because the two sides hate each other.

Maybe you should think about that.

Christian definition 1: “of, pertaining to, or derived from Jesus Christ or His teachings:”

The “world” dictionary has this as it’s first definition: " a person who believes in and follows Jesus Christ"

I’m convinced that Jesus believed in himself. However, is he then a follower of the Christ? How does he “follow” himself?

Being a devout Hebrew in the line of King David he was a follower of Judaism and studied, preached and practiced the word of God as given to the Hebrew people.

So no, he was not the “original” Christian. The first mention of the term Christian is mentioned in the New Testament in the book of Acts. There it is mentioned that Antioch was the first place where the term was used. The Apostles called themselves the followers of The Way.

    Hey, facts are facts.

Yeah, Jesus literally never stopped with the talk about gays. Though shalt not gay. Always with the anuses, vaginas, and bestiality. The mouth on that guy. No wonder they crucified him.

Oh, wait, actually they crucified him for saying the rich should get out of the church, they were bound for hell, that they should give all their money to the poor. Kind of like Pope Francis. What does right wing radio think of that?

The friction between Christian’s and many (not all) on the far left mainly comes from the fact that Christians try to live their lives based on the morals and commandments of the Bible. They believe that these are eternal truths not up for debate or reinterpretation.

Moral relativism, sometimes called humanism, rejects the Bible and the idea that there are any absolute truths or morals. They believe that each person decides what is right and wrong within the context of their own lives and circumstance.

The dogma of political correctness has become the dominant force in our society. Adherents expound that we should be tolerant and accepting of all diverse beliefs.

Funny because the only thing they are uniformly intolerant of are Christians. Can’t wear a visable cross, or have Jesus printed on a shirt at school. Can’t put up a nativity scene (if it might offend even one person). They fight to tear down a cross outside of San Diego that is literally in the middle of nowhere. A cross whose design was approved by the very veterans it commemorates.

And now we find that simply stating what the Bible says about homosexuality being a sin, can affect your job and future prospects as a TV celebrity.

The left rants that Christians spread hate about gays, that they are committing hate crimes against them. The opposite is true (not that there aren’t some that hate…there are haters in all walks of life). But predominately, true Christians love everyone and in fact have done much to tolerate the gay lifestyle. But it is unfair to expect them to deny their own faith and the scripture that they embrace. The Bible says homosexuality is sin, period.
