    Your employer health insurance is part of your compensation package. If you’re unhappy with your compensation, you are always free to go work elsewhere.

    So what’s new? Health insurance in this country has never been about health, certainly not patient health. It’s about profit.

    If your plan complies with the law, you CAN keep it. Many plans are changing to comply, not just dumping clients. Yes, Obama “mis-spoke”, much more than “lied”, but considering the complexity of the law (YES it IS too complex), a short speech doesn’t equal a review of the act.

    BTW, three “I.T. experts” at my bank, couldn’t figure out how to make my bank’s web site work in less than 7 hours over two phone calls!! It ain’t just government programs!

    @TheTrustedMechanic

    Did the president say “If you’re on Medicaid and you like your doctor, you can keep him” or did he say “if you like your doctor, you can keep him” unqualified? I believe it was just before or after stating “if you like your insurance, you can keep it”. Based on context, I believe that would make it an unqualified statement.

    Oh, the inhumanity of it all!!! The GOP must act! Issa has brought up impeachment charges on President Obama because the pharmacy gumball machine has jammed.

    “Yah. Can you believe my employer health insurance won’t let me keep my own doctor unless he’s in the plan? I mean if Obama Care can’t provide a gold plated insurance plan that no one has through their employer for less money than it’s a malious lie and should be scuttled.
    Glenn, you and the Republicans are incapable of honesty.
    Seriously”.

    Sarcasm is a poor substitute for wisdom, the ACA set a standard that forced insurance companies to drop plans, from that business had to decide on new plans, then yes some of those Doctors will not be allowed on the new plans because of the employer or the insurance companies. The employer had to find an affordable alternatives from the alternatives that the insurers can now give. So who’s fault is that, Seriously.

    And malious is spelled malicious.

    Having worked with Veterinarians for years , I would actually prefer their services for my health care. Too bad it’s not legal.

    Hmm, with the Koch brothers making the TEA party so much like JBS, found an interesting bit today: Fred Koch, their daddy, with Welch, WAS a co-founder of the John Birch Society, no wonder the spiel sounds so familiar!

    BTW, I DO feel that Obama leaving out “if your existing plan meets the requirements of the new law” was an egregious error on his part. But, for those whose plans DO meet the new law, like mine, the statement is true.

    It’s your insurance company’s fault — they’re allowed to keep selling you the old policy that cost more and covered less, but decided to tank it in order to help undercut support for the ACA.
