With the exception of the Medicaid expansion these are all private insurance plans. Therefore if you can’t keep your own doctor, it is not the fault of the PPACA, it is because the doctor declined to accept your insurance carrier. Just like when I was scheduled for hernia surgery, the doctor called and said they stopped accepting my insurance, one week after my surgery was scheduled and only days before it was to be performed. They told me I had to prepay for the estimated cost of the surgeon and sign a blank check for anything above that A GP’s office manager told me later they loved working with my employer’s insurance, faster than most insurance companies to pay and U&C was closer to the actual office visit cost. It was not the insurance company, it was the doctor who decided he didn’t need insurance patients anymore.
    .
And I still have that hernia.

Your employer health insurance is part of your compensation package. If you’re unhappy with your compensation, you are always free to go work elsewhere.

So what’s new? Health insurance in this country has never been about health, certainly not patient health. It’s about profit.

If your plan complies with the law, you CAN keep it. Many plans are changing to comply, not just dumping clients. Yes, Obama “mis-spoke”, much more than “lied”, but considering the complexity of the law (YES it IS too complex), a short speech doesn’t equal a review of the act.

BTW, three “I.T. experts” at my bank, couldn’t figure out how to make my bank’s web site work in less than 7 hours over two phone calls!! It ain’t just government programs!

Did the president say “If you’re on Medicaid and you like your doctor, you can keep him” or did he say “if you like your doctor, you can keep him” unqualified? I believe it was just before or after stating “if you like your insurance, you can keep it”. Based on context, I believe that would make it an unqualified statement.

Still haven’t read the bill have you, carriers are dropping their doctors at federal gunpoint, businesses do not willingly dump paying customers outside far left fiction.

“Yah. Can you believe my employer health insurance won’t let me keep my own doctor unless he’s in the plan? I mean if Obama Care can’t provide a gold plated insurance plan that no one has through their employer for less money than it’s a malious lie and should be scuttled.
Glenn, you and the Republicans are incapable of honesty.
    Seriously”.

Sarcasm is a poor substitute for wisdom, the ACA set a standard that forced insurance companies to drop plans, from that business had to decide on new plans, then yes some of those Doctors will not be allowed on the new plans because of the employer or the insurance companies. The employer had to find an affordable alternatives from the alternatives that the insurers can now give. So who’s fault is that, Seriously.

    And malious is spelled malicious.

Having worked with Veterinarians for years , I would actually prefer their services for my health care. Too bad it’s not legal.

how about a tin plated plan that covers stuff you don’t need, and costs more in premiums and more then doubles your deductible to the point that unless you get really sick you almost can’t get a pay out., cause that is what CBS, ABC, NBC, CNBC, New York Times etc are reporting.

only if he is in the network, and it is the PPA/ACA fault due to rule making and the dems have known that for years now, or so says the time and post.
So since it’s not the evil insurance company’s fault it got to be the doctors?
And why did you even have that doctor, usually when I have had surgery this sort of thing is precleared with my group insurance.

    and the problem is???
actually insurance is a gamble, you bet you will need more payouts then you will pay in they bet you will not and their math guys are better then you are at figuring it out.
beside it’s all the dems fault for FDR’s price controls that you even have empoyer covered health care.
