President Obama won his little victory by insulting congress, who represent us. So more debt and no one going after the real problems.

I will agree with you there. People trying to make real changes for the better, like Sen. Elizabeth Warren, will continue to be blocked.

President Obama won an overwhelming victory. He announced that the 15 Jan and 5 Feb dates will NOT be a chance for another Republican slimdown of the government or a threat to the debt ceiling.

Another poster (liar, knowledgeable, ignorant and wrong, I don’t know) said the extension of the debt ceiling has an automatic increase that the House cannot block.

Obama’s statement indicates that he/she/it is correct: there might be a senseless ‘slimdown’, but it looks like (from Obama’s spikedown) that there cannot be another debt ceiling threat.

“Reaganomics”, “Patriot Act”, “Military Commissions Act”, NO negotiating on Medicare drug prices, Iraq, Afghanistan, Guantanamo, all brought to you by Republicans, or Republican initiatives, you mean THAT government, Glenn??

Nope. Nothing for McCoy to gain from government. Bring back the national and international chaos.

err I’ve been labeled a pinko commie liberal in some circles (really independent) and I think this strip is right on the money. I for one would welcome more like this than the ones where he constantly tries (usually fails) to lampoon the President. Those are just old and tired at this point.

McCoy keeps coming across as a stooge for the Koch brothers and their billionaire Forbes 400 cronies that own such a huge and growing percentage of the economy. They currently own as much as the bottom 60% of Americans, up 20% in just seven years. What do you think American democracy will be like in another generation? Egypt might be a good example where the economy is owned by just 31 “whales” as they are known there. Instead of Mubarak Americans will have someone like Mr. Cruz in place. Mr. Cruz would probably like a cartoon like this one if he bothered to look.

Hooray for anarchy, the mob cheers. No more government! Get rid of America so we can be patriots!

I imagine it’s hard to see reality from the Kool Aid haze; but Obama’s president. If the evil republicans did something and Obama did not change it, he now owns it. He’s had nearly 6 years to fix things, but instead he has waged war on the middle class, trying to drive them into extinction.
