Why should any political organization get tax exempt status?

Just another power hungry Democrat who wants government to control all aspects of your life.
Even what comments you make right here on these boards:
“Here is the bottom line – the media shield law, which I am prepared to support … still leaves an unanswered question, which I have raised many times: What is a journalist today in 2013? We know it’s someone that works for Fox or AP, but does it include a blogger? Does it include someone who is tweeting? Are these people journalists and entitled to constitutional protection?”

When did breaking tax law become “pulling the Constitution”?

Karl Rove figured out that it was a good way to hide donner money, even tho the groups were making political advertisements.

Do you know what IOKIYAR stands for? It’s Okay is you are a Republican. So breaking tax law and committing perjury are fine if it advances the Republican cause of funneling dark money into campaign coffers without disclosure. Just pointing it out is however unethical in Glen McCoy’s perspective.

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (MarketWatch) — America is a quitter. We’re giving up, surrendering, forfeiting. Yes, throwing the game. Throwing away our future as the world’s superpower. We’re forced to walk off the economic playing field. Not by outside enemies, by our own Congress refusing to play a job-creating economic game.
    -

We are our own worst enemy in the biggest economic war in world history. And Asia loves it!

McCoy’s part of the distraction fraction. Stop the news cycle politicking and play REAL baseball, people. We’re in this larger economic game together.

“So breaking tax law and committing perjury are fine….” and “funneling dark money into campaign coffers without disclosure.”

I think you may have a misunderstanding of what the IRS stink is all about. It is not about breaking tax law and committing perjury. It’s about equal protection under law as defined in the Fourteenth Amendment of the Constitution. Certain applications submitted to the IRS which used words in their organization titles that indicated that they were probably right wing entities were denied or had their application approval delayed by up to three years while most other applications were approved within an average of 90 days (C/Pickering Report for other ruses to delay application approval).

As for getting money without disclosure of the donors, that is a characteristic of a 501c4 tax exemption (c/IRS publication 557). They are not required to disclose their donors or the amount they donate. It is a regulation that should be changed. It allows foreign contribution through intermediaries to American Presidential elections.

You claim 3 governors have gone to prison, and you claim they were all “liberal” Democrats but then you only name two names. Were they even governors or just names of disgraced politicians?

Actuall, 4 out of the last 7 have gone to prison but one was a republican.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but the Bill of Rights (1, 2nd, 3rd, etc. amendments) and the Constitution are separate documents ratified a two different times. The Constitution was ratified by three fourths of the states on June 21, 1788. The Bill of Rights was ratified by three fourths of the states on December 15, 1791.

They are separate parts of a single (non)working document.
