What a shame no one can say Bob Costas wasn’t CORRECT!

Bob Costas was correct!
The problem as usual is the mindlessness of what guns are for.
Ive been a hunter for 50+ years use both bow and gun, the first rule of handling any firearm is clear the breach with the barrel pointing away from anyone.
We now have fools who believe they are threatened by god only knows what so they get a gun, having no real need for their “toy” they wave it, threaten others with it, self delude themselves that they are threatened by ?.
Problem is as Mr. Costas pointed out when enraged people take the easiest path to attack their conflicts, those who are not trained, or have never used a firearm for a responsible purpose strike out with a force that usually exceeds the moment.
Mr. Costas pointed out that there are more people harmed by stupid acts with guns than those who actually have needed one.
We can have both but the relentless BS belief that “everyone” should have a gun without training is nothing more than a disaster waiting to happen as is proven regularly by those who live in their pre-conceived fear of thin air!
I for one thank Bob Costas for his opinion and hope we all learn from it instead of those who blowing smoke about a deluded self-rightious “right” without having to be responsible before they do something stupid which is 98% of the time!

P.S
Bob Costas never said “ban” guns he just pointed the true misuse of them.

Sure it’s a political platform but how about a humane one or common sense platform?

You can be correct and crass at the same time.
You don’t sweat much for a fat girl.

And another cheap shot from one of the McCoy brothers. (No wonder the Hatfields hated them.)
narrowminded said, 7 months ago
Costas is a simpleton who gave his unsolicited opinion in an inappropriate venue. Nobody cares what Bob Costas thinks about, other than football. Idiot.
Typical leftist un-American rant blaming the constitution rather than the villian.

@narrowminded
You proven you don’t know much about Costas or what he said. You did however provide a stereotype right wing response.

@ODon
If being critical of the political prostitution of a tragedy is a “stereotype right wing response” then I may switch from libertarian. People in the public eye should exercise caution. I’m sure between friends and a** kissers Bob could easily have spouted his lefty bile without inflicting this slap on the families affected.

Wow, the conservative posters are united in making conservatives look like jerks. Nothing new here…

Vast amounts of money spent on professional sports have created sub-class of very big boys, who don’t know when to stop playing games.

Nobody wants to stand up to the NRA – because they have all the GUNS – AND the attitude -

And you commenting on it is different how? You are commenting on the speck of dust in Costas’ eye, when you have a Republican Party plan in your own.
PlainBill said, 7 months ago
@crazydad
That is the problem. In the end, the NRA is dedicated to removing any impediments to gun ownership. Their mindless followers on the right are quick to seize any opportunity to blame everybody and everything EXCEPT the ‘guns are good’ culture.
