    BREAKING NEWS: President Obama tells his blackberry to “Call Me Rock God” to no avail, then gives huge federal grant to Canada’s RIM to steal software from Apple so his phone can call him Rock God by his next grand party at the Whitehouse.

    Pardon me for not being able to make a political association (or any other association) of a President singing at a party and the unemployed.

    I think its because the CONservative “thought” process goes “How DARE Obama sing while people are unemployed”. Of course when unemployment went up under a republican, it was a good idea to go play cowboy in crawford. It was also a good idea to play cowboy when a city was underwater, when people were at war, and when you get a warnning about a major terrorist atack. Or if you’ve had a 7 hour work week…

    Glen and his posse might not know this because they only watch Fox News, but in the real world, unemployment is down, and even hampered with the Boner congress, Obama has created more jobs in his term than Bush did in two. The stimulus worked, and if it had been bigger, the recovery would have been bigger.

    Great cartoon from Mr. McCoy! And per another commentor here, unemployment is down very, very slightly…and the rest of the bump comes from lowering the estimated number of jobs which even exist to be filled. In this way, the Whitehouse can report an unemployment rate many points lower than would be the case with standards used in the past.

    What’s this guy angry about? If he were helped by the Obama administration, he would cry ‘Socialism’.

    @Ian Rey

    Actually… he may have created more jobs, but he also lost more. I think there are something like 2 million fewer available jobs in America than there were when he took office. And way to go on keeping that unemployment rate under 8% with that stimulus (peaked at 10.2%). Oh, and let’s not forget the people that have quit looking for work, which then are taken off their unemployment numbers. Oh, and the “under” employed, which sits at about the same percent as the unemployed. That’s a great number too! And the demographic that supports him the most has the worst unemployment numbers (in the 20’s for those with only a high-school eductation — aka labor America — iirc). He’s really helping them out a lot!

    Boy, I love when a plan comes together! [/sarcasm]
