Simple math, gentlemen — my teams haven’t made the playoffs in any sport for 12 years. At three teams a year, that’s 36 straight failures.

In all reality, Lucky stops the smash down the line and fires a perfect strike to the first baseman beating the runner by 2 steps. Paul Dillon rushes from the the mound and beats Lucky to a pulp while screaming at him , Why didn t you do that for the last out of my perfect game you F in head case ?

One thing’s for sure, if Lucky makes that play, Amy’s next game will be a disaster.

Perhaps Lucky makes a diving catch, preventing the hit, and Dillon goes on to throw a perfecto?

And, of course, the Mudlarks still just miss the playdowns.

Kid in bottom left corner of P1 is secretly checking his phone. You could be sure no one was texting during Knute Rockne’s “Gipper” speech.

Is Gil made out of wax today? He’s sporting that dull, dim-witted glow.

Something about a healthy old Number Two sums up this whole storyline.

Can’t we ever see the Muds win a fricking state title? All this losing is depressing though it sure has been teaching me good life lessons.

Gil is a regular Winston Churchill. “Hey, if we surrender on the beaches, we tie for second!”
