Yah, maybe they can do a duet of “The Sounds of Silence”.

    …certainly won’t be “Shout!”

How long will we be kept in suspense? Does Pascoe have a speech impediment or is he just incredibly withdrawn? It would make no sense for someone that introverted to hang out with other teens at the Bucket. He probably wouldn’t even be in school.

@Chippy, pay attention, he can talk but he has decided not to, via the school counselor weeks ago.

“Here, smoke this joint (p1), to go with our cocktails, and we’ll go to karaoke night. You can do your Harpo Marx/Clarabell imitation while I belt out " Wild Thing."

In all reality, when Tip and Angie belt out I Got You Babe at karaoke night Big John rushes the stage and they all sing Happy Together.

Gratuitous scene at The Bucket to appease the Thorpian purists. I can faintly hear 1910 Fruitgum Cos.,“Yummy, Yummy, Yummy” in the background.

I agree with desertdwlr. This definitely looks like a scene from 10 Forward on the Enterprise from ST:NG. I am expecting Whoopi Goldberg to show up as Guinan and pitch in with some sagely advice that will have Big John talking again.

Cheezwiz: If you due your research, 1910 Fruitgum Co. also cut this single.

God forgive me, but I honestly miss the peacock at this point.

In P1, Pascoe bears a striking resemblance to Yertle the Turtle.

Does Pascoe have a medical excuse so he doesn’t have to answer questions in class? What happens when an English teacher has the students memorize some bit of literature and recite it in front of the class?
The teacher should be fired, but that’s not point.

BikeMike – good literary allusion to Cuckoo’s Nest there with the juicy fruit comment. LIke you all, the saving grace is the comments since the strip has totally morphed from what it used to be. We’ve seen the bucket now, but any sightings of Gil’s kids?
