    I’m really hoping that the lesson learned prevents Foley from pursuing the Darby “lawsuit” and Gil can move on to the country club, but I’m skeptical.

    Yeah. Poor Brent gets savaged a decade back just because he couldn’t get to a ground ball. This moron screws up the team’s chemistry AND boots the ball, and people are fawning over him? Pleeaaaze.

    Wasn’t “The Ballad of Jimmy Jarbo” a hit for the Kingston Trio around 1961?

    @Lureman

    I realize it’s splitting hairs, but if you get thrown out at first by the right fielder, it’s not a base hit.

    But what about the huge parade being planned for tying the all-time record for double plays turned by a shortstop and second baseman for the season?

    I mentioned earlier this week that it would be refreshing to see Jimmy act like an old school MHS student-athlete and I got my wish. Will Bobby Ottewill be remembered as a Milford baseball great since he made All Valley Conerence?

    Don’t most baseball coaches wear a uniform? Why doesn’t Gil?

    Gil looking a little like a young “W” in P2…..Jarbo looking like a young Bert Campaneris in P3

    On to Milford CC indeed, we should have been there weeks ago….wonder if Steve is now part of the staff, the club seems to be where Milford’s patronage army soaks up a few paychecks, very Chicago like!

    @Huskis81, you have to actually show up at all the games and work with the players on their game to be considered a coach.

    Little Jimmy showing some class! In reality, he’s setting him up for a right handed uppercut while holding his neck.

    A heart-warming moment, and you have to ruin it with that awful comment. Flagged.

    What Jarbo is actually saying “Man, you are one major F-up, Knox. My Dad was trying to describe the look on your dad’s face when he found out how bad you screwed up that case. I’m tellin’ ya, we were laughing so hard we couldn’t breath! Really, I can’t wait to get home and tell everyone about how you deep sixed our playoff chances. Dude, you are such a worthless f-up! Hahahahahahahahha!”

    And you can go and join Lureman in my “penalty box”. You are flagged, too.

    So who else owns the record for most doubles turned in a season?

    Wasn’t Brent the kid who could “really pick it”?

    Team mates never pile on, even when tempted. Sammy Baugh reportedly said, “My team mates gave their all, it’s just that we ran into a tidal wave.” Bears 73- Redskins 0 1940 NFL Title game.
