    Another Milford boyfriend and girlfriend playing the same sport. Seems to happen at an uncommon rate there. Don’t any of these guys date the cheerleaders?

    I see the Don Ameche moustache is big with the girl’s basketball team this year. Must be something in the Milford water that contributes to the bad haircuts on the boys and unusual hair growth for the girls.

    I’m glad to see that Mimi’s comment has struck a chord. Now we have young women worrying about their weight because another Coach Thor P is giving bad advice. Mimi needs to take a lesson from Gil and stay out of the story for 3 months.

    Doesn’t anybody remember Milford superstar Chip Jordan back in the 90s? His kid brother Timmy also had leukemia and Chip shaved his head in solidarity when Timmy went bald from the chemo. (This was before shaved heads were cool.) When a girl Chip liked saw his new look, she rebuffed him with this line: “Skinheads neg me out!” which I’ve been quoting ever since.

    In my humble opinion, the two best Birds in basketball were Larry and Sue. Big comes in third because, despite his height, his reach and mobility were pathetic.

    We really shouldn’t complain about the art I guess.
    When the current artist started on this strip all his work
    looked like Japanese animation.
