    They have no grounds to get her taken off the team, they can’t go to the principle or superintendent or school board or even the top of the chain, the Booster Club president, so what is their plan? Two guesses from me: they will talk to the newspaper reporter lady (although not sure what they would expect to be written) or they will protest at the next game with picket signs. But either would be dumb.

    Actually my 3rd guess would be what wmac8898 suggested, trying to pull their daughters from the team. I guess that would be the most believable tactic.

    The next step is obvious. The moms go to the preacher, he gets the town to ban dancing and Darby. Then Kevin Bacon comes to town in an old Beetle, knocks Bobby out of the way, sweeps Darby off her feet, and gets the whole town to turn Footloose.
